Rebound Dodgeball Evolved is a fast, competitive, multiplayer Sci-fi themed dodgeball game. The top down camera and twin stick shooter controls makes it easy to just pick up and play however the fast-paced nature of the game gives it a high skill ceiling. Players can team up and play against each other both online and offline with any combination of maps, Mutators, and gamemodes.
This game was made for the 2016 “Dare to be digital” competition held at Abertay University, Dundee. For 12 weeks we worked along side other student from around the world trying to create a game to show off at the “Pro to Play” event held at the end of the 12 weeks and get judged by industry professionals. Our game was one of the 3 winners and then where automatically nominated for the 2017 “Ones to Watch” award at the BAFTA games award. Since then we continued to work on Rebound while at university and then after until we finished and released on Xbox one and Steam.
Rebound was made using Unreal Engine 4. My main work was UI Programming, Networking, AI, and Xbox implementation. I also have experience demoing the game at large industry events, EGX Rezzed 2018/2019.
